Goldstripe Butterflyfish (Chaetodon aureofasciatus) is a reef-associated butterflyfish from the tropical Indo-Pacific. It is a small, mostly coral-feeding species that usually lives in pairs or small groups around shallow coral reefs.

Diurnal and reef-faithful, it picks at coral polyps and small benthic invertebrates. Usually seen in pairs, it is alert and tends to stay close to shelter within the reef.
